A rare Levantine necklace made of nielloed silver—Palestine or Jordan, late 19th to early 20th century
A pendant depicting a fish, made of nielloed silver, typical of the Arab and Bedouin peoples of the Levant, particularly Palestine and Jordan.
The five pendants below the fish are silver pieces, likely Ottoman.
On one of them, I believe I can make out the Hijri date 1292 or 1293 (corresponding to between 1875 and 1877 in the Gregorian calendar).
The chain is also made of silver.
The piece is in good condition.
