A pair of chiseled gilded bronze candlesticks dating from the late 18th/early 19th century in the Consulate style.
Resting on a circular base chiseled with rows of diagonal pearls and garlands of small flowers. In the center, a sunburst rosette frames the shaft, which begins with a faceted ogive, alternating between oblique beaded chiseling and floral friezes, and is topped by a dome reminiscent of the rosette on the base. The bowl is spherical, characteristic of the Consulat style, and is chiseled with two rows of friezes and star-shaped flowers. The original candlesticks are present, their circumferences chiseled with plant motifs.
Beautiful period gold leaf gilding; no restoration has been performed!
