Studio terracotta
An exceptional and rare terracotta sculpture depicting the head of a galloping horse, its mane swept by the wind.
This is a work of great power, rooted in the modernist tradition of the first half of the 20th century.
The artist has successfully captured the animal’s raw energy and movement through a resolutely expressionist style. The contrast is striking between the fluid modeling of the neck and the vigorous, almost geological treatment of the mane, which reveals traces of the sculptor’s tools and hand.
The sculpture is displayed on its elegant original pedestal made of rough travertine, whose porous texture and mineral hue perfectly highlight the light patina and timeless appearance of the terracotta.

Dimensions: Total height without the base: 100 cm. What appears to be a chip on the base is actually caused by the camera flash.
