Also known as a “sideways bed” with two curved headboards shaped like a crozier - There are models with three headboards; the third is removable, making it easier to prepare the bed for sleep – The Turkish-style bed is a daybed with a solid appearance and rounded armrests typical of late 18th-century French furniture –

The arrangement of the canopy and curtains is reminiscent of the Polish-style bed –

Fabulous examples of Turkish-style beds or very spacious daybeds were created by

Nicolas Quinibert Foliot or Jean-Baptiste Tilliard for Versailles, Nissim de Camondo, or other stately homes –

The founder and collector of the Custodia Foundation, Fritz Lugt, owned a very similar Ottoman-style bed (see photo in the listing)

• Large and deep, this single bed is fully disassemblable with lag screws, is intricately carved on all sides, allowing it to be placed in an alcove against a wall or in the center of the room –

An exceptional piece with inverted headboards featuring crooks adorned with flowers, just like the legs—the carvings protrude deeply –

The two crossbars are carved with attributes and trophies—an extremely rare find, this piece has retained all of its original lacquer and polychromy_

This style, deeply inspired by nature, reflects a quest for intimacy and comfort (with its wavy backrest and curved leg known as the “Louis XV leg”)

The Louis XV style exemplifies perfect mastery of joinery and the strength of the wood, notably through the elimination of cross-braces –

New linen and cotton upholstery in soft, understated eggshell shades with white piping, trimmings, and Houlès double-pompom tiebacks in a bronze-tinged cream color –

• Polish-style carved wooden canopy, circular and domed in shape, with

acanthus frieze decoration, re-stained gray and newly upholstered with the same cream-colored fabric and trimmed –
