Myanmar, Bagan region, 18th century or earlier, a very beautiful gilt-bronze statue gilded with gold leaf depicting a standing Buddha, holding his monastic robe with both hands. According to notes from the previous owner, a great lover of Burmese antiquities, this statue was originally buried beneath a temple and was discovered after the 2016 earthquake.
Dimensions: Height 12.2 (cm).
