A lovely Tuscan folding table, painted and dating from the early 20th century, retaining its original decoration. The hand-painted tabletop is adorned with foliage scrolls and floral motifs in warm shades of green, pink, and yellow, creating a soft and romantic palette rich in character.
The scalloped side flaps fold down to form a compact and elegant console table, then open to reveal a generous oval tabletop, ideal for meals or displaying objects. The painted surface features a beautiful network of crackle glaze and an authentic patina of wear throughout.
A drawer along each side, each fitted with a simple wooden knob, provides practical storage space, while the understated and functional trestle-style base ensures excellent stability without competing with the tabletop’s design.
Originally from Tuscany, Italy, this versatile piece works just as well as a small dining table or center table as it does as a charming accent piece in a kitchen or breakfast nook.
