Pair Of Neapolitan Louis Philippe Side Tables

Pair of Neapolitan Louis Philippe console tables made of fine exotic wood with marble tops, dating from the 19th century.

The red marble top is contemporary with the piece and is framed by a perimeter edge shaped like an owl’s beak, following the curvilinear contours of the console.

The band beneath the top, with its highly undulating profile, is embellished with wooden pinnacles typical of Neapolitan cabinetmaking.

The central support has a curvilinear shape and is carved with phytomorphic motifs and leaf-shaped volutes ending in shells.

Condition: Unrestored, but in good condition.

Provenance: Naples, 19th century.
