An antique Louis XIV kneeler made of solid walnut and walnut burl, dating from the early 18th century.

The piece follows strict classical architectural proportions, divided vertically into three orders: the upper section with a lower band and an integrated drawer.

The central section features a triptych arrangement, with a rectangular door in the center mounted on hinges and embellished with a bronze keyhole.

The lower base is projecting and lowered, specifically designed for kneeling, while the top of the base panel opens via hinges to reveal an internal well-shaped storage compartment resting on the base plinth.

Condition: Needs restoration.
