Early 19th-century candlestick made ofcast and chiseled brass, mounted as a lamp.

Circular base decorated with a frieze ofsmall flowers framing a band of interlacing patterns formingrhombuses; a gadrooned circle frames a slender pedestalwhich supports the lower part of the chiseled columnwith a fish-scale pattern, accented at the bottom by a frieze ofstylized flowers; at the top, a fluted shaft with serrated edges extendsinto a finial that echoes the grid pattern frieze.

Electrical wiring completely overhauled.

Empire-style lampshade in mouse-gray cottonembellished with satin ribbons

in chocolate and gold; a chocolate-colored soutachehighlights the lampshade’s edges.
