The Port Of Agha In Algiers / Pierre Pruvost
Artist: Pierre Pruvost 1921/2008
A winner of the Abd-El-Tif Prize in 1951, he was part of the second generation of painters from the Algiers School. A talented colorist, his work is similar to that of his friend François DESNOYER; he painted numerous seascapes of the ports of Sète and Saint-Cyprien.
He later settled in Antibes, where he established himself as one of the city’s leading artists.
