Antique Bohemian Crystal Glass With An Engraved Portrait Of Giuseppe Garibaldi, Circa 1880
An antique glass made of heavy Bohemian crystal, wheel-engraved and embellished with a wide band of gold leaf adorning the upper part.
In the center, within an oval medallion, is a finely engraved portrait of Giuseppe Garibaldi, rendered with remarkable precision: a full beard, formal attire, and, above all, the anodized scarf tied around his neck—an iconic detail that allows for the immediate identification of the hero of the Italian Risorgimento.
On the reverse of the glass, a monogram is engraved, probably the initials of the first owner of this collectible piece.
Produced in Bohemia in the late 19th century, intended for Italian patriotic circles.
Condition: good condition, no chips; clear engraving; slight signs of wear on the gilding.
