Exceptional Provençal Regency wardrobe in solid walnut from the 18th century.
Very large wardrobe crafted from top-quality solid walnut. Its monumental proportions, the thickness of its wood, the richness of its carving, and the quality of its craftsmanship attest to remarkable cabinetmaking. This type of cabinet was intended for a stately residence or a mansion.
It opens with two richly molded and carved doors and retains its beautiful original ironwork as well as its interior layout with shelves and drawers. Its exceptional craftsmanship gives it extraordinary sturdiness, which explains its particularly heavy weight.
Judging by the photos, I don’t think this is an “ordinary” Provençal cabinet, but rather a beautifully crafted piece of furniture.
