Art Nouveau Folding Screen With Embroidered Floral Panels, Circa 1900

A three-panel Art Nouveau folding screen dating from around 1900. It features hand-embroidered floral motifs with the fluid, elegant lines characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. Each panel features a different flowering plant, framed by decorative borders and mounted on a wooden frame in warm tones.

The reverse side is covered with fabric panels; the screen folds easily, allowing it to be used as a room divider, a dressing screen, or a striking decorative piece.

The item shows signs of wear consistent with its age, including a small repair on the fabric, a tear, and stains on the back, as well as slight wear on the wooden frame—all of which are consistent with its age. Please refer to the photographs for more details.
