18th-century Dutch Witwerk Cabinet With Original Key And Imitation Delft Decoration

Rare and richly ornate, this 18th-century Dutch cabinet dates from the third quarter of the 18th century (circa 1750-1775).

This exceptional piece features its original faux Delft blue decoration, a characteristic and refined finish imitating porcelain, much sought-after in the Netherlands at the time. These cabinets were produced by craftsmen who were members of the Witwerkers Gilde, a specialized guild renowned for its extremely fine painted finishes, imitating luxurious materials such as Delft earthenware and marble, combining craftsmanship and decorative art of the highest order.

The cabinet is topped by an elegant arched cornice adorned with five original vases and retains its original operating key, a precious and increasingly rare detail that attests to its authenticity.

Interior, five shelves create a space that is both decorative and functional.
