First Half Of The 19th Century Pair Of Charles X Stools
Refined stools in flowering maple wood, finely carved
and enriched with dark mahogany inlays. The stools are distinguished by their
faldstool shape, with curved legs resembling a stylized cornucopia, connected
at the sides by turned crosspieces, and featuring raised armrests. Further
enhancing the design are the inlays, present on all sides and on the armrests,
featuring geometric motifs and floral interweaving. The stools' surfaces are
finished with a soft cerulean blue fabric, lending a touch of elegance. This
pair of stools exudes great taste and refinement, adding a touch of class and
antiquity to any space. French manufacture, in the Jacobean style and the
Charles X period, around the first half of the 19th century (ca. 1830).
