Cast-lead Inkwell Decorated With Medusa Heads – 19th Century
Small cast-lead inkwell in the shape of a truncated cone, featuring a square base and four sides adorned with a radiant female mask in relief, reminiscent of Medusa or a Gorgon.
A circular opening at the top is designed to hold an ink cup, which is now missing.
