This charming period writing case, typically Napoleon III style, is in perfect condition. Its lid depicts a castle with, in the foreground, a pond and trees. The figurative ensemble is made of mother-of-pearl marquetry with some painted highlights, on the sides, there is gilded interlacing. Inside, the lid is lined with red velvet, the box is composed of various cardboard compartments, two of which have lids with carved mother-of-pearl buttons, there is also its small one in glass and silver metal.
