Naturalist Ormolu Photo Frame With Oval View Circa 1900
Very richly decorated with ivy branches and leaves around a structure evoking a wooden portal, above which a small bird dominates the whole. The oval frame features a beaded frieze and the original glass is beveled. Another charming, whimsical table model emerging from the naturalist era, the precursor of what would later become Art Nouveau. To be dated from the late 19th century.
