Large Lunéville Earthenware Vase, Keller And Guérin, 19th Century

A large and spectacular lidded vase made of Lunéville earthenware (a royal manufactory founded in 1730, then merged with that of Saint-Clément in 1758).
Signed “Keller and Guérin” on the bottom.
In 1806, Mr. Keller, who had purchased the earthenware factory in 1786, received an honorable mention at the Industrial Exhibition at Ponts-et-Chaussées, followed by a gold medal at the 1823 Paris Exhibition. The factory would not be known as Keller & Guérin until 1832.
Rich decoration featuring a rearing lion on a royal blue background adorned with a scattering of gold fleurs-de-lis.
