Micromosaic Cross On Blue Glass Paste Depicting Monuments Of Ancient Rome, Mid-19th Century
Micromosaic cross on blue glass paste depicting monuments of ancient Rome, mid-19th century
A mid-19th-century Roman cross in blue glass paste, adorned with six micromosaics depicting monuments and ruins of ancient Rome. The use of blue glass paste, which is rarer than traditional black glass paste, makes this object particularly interesting to collectors.
The condition is good. The cross has a fine crack on the left side and a small restoration on the lower part of the glass paste base. Both affect only the base and do not involve the six micromosaic panels.
