Pair Of Louis XIV Pistols
An exceptional small pair of flintlock pistols by LAROCHE A PARIS, made during the reign of Louis XIV.
Featuring a walnut stock entirely inlaid with silver filigree. Flat frame engraved with trophies and “Laroche à Paris,” swan-neck trigger, faceted trigger guard, and a trigger mechanism carved with a Gallic head.
The back of the frame is engraved with a chimera of foliage and the sun.
Blue and gold barrel (trophies and an Indian head).
Trigger guard carved with a ram’s head and “d’Angelo.”
