Prussian Bodyguard Officer's Helmet
Authentic Prussian Bodyguard officer's helmet, 1890. A superb example of this type of helmet worn by the personal guard of German Emperor Wilhelm II. The skullcap is made of tombac with a stepped visor, silver fittings, rivets and supports, and a lobster-tail shaped elbow guard. The silver eagle with a gilt crown is in good condition. The leather and silk liner is also in good condition, showing only slight signs of wear. It is adorned with the regulation officer's cockades. The star-shaped front plate is composed of several parts and the enamel is intact. Very good condition
