17th-century Tabernacle Door
Renaissance-era tabernacle door, late 16th–early 17th century. Arched in shape, it is richly decorated with two winged cherub heads framing the upper portion. The central panel features a symbolic design depicting the Mystical Lamb resting on a scroll with seven seals, surmounted by the Cross of the Resurrection and heavenly rays—iconography evoking the Risen Christ. The side panels are decorated with garlands of flowers and fruit carved in relief. The piece retains a beautiful patina and shows wear consistent with its age.
