Oil on board by Albert Lebourg (1849–1928), titled *La Vallée de la Seine* (The Seine Valley). Signed lower left. Circa 1920–1921. Includes a certificate of authenticity from François Lespinasse, an expert on the artist. Albert Marie Lebourg was a Norman Impressionist painter whose preferred subjects were bodies of water in Normandy and Paris. He trained as an architect and taught drawing for five years at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Algiers. In 1878, he returned to France and studied under Jean-Paul Laurens; he exhibited with the Impressionists in 1879 and 1880, and at the Salon from 1883 to 1895.
