Miniature Edition Of "don Quixote Of La Mancha" – 1947 Centennial Edition
A rare and charming original miniature edition published for the Centennial (1947) of Miguel de Cervantes’ masterpiece, *El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha*, published in Madrid by Editorial Castilla to mark the 400th anniversary of Cervantes’ birth (1547–1947).
This elegant set comprises two miniature volumes (Volume I and Volume II) preserved in their original green cloth-covered slipcase. Both volumes retain their original bindings, adorned with decorative motifs and gilded titles on the spines, and are illustrated with numerous black-and-white engravings.
The inscription “Edición Centenario – Abril, 1947” allows for the certain identification of this genuine commemorative edition published in April 1947.
