Bronze Cage Chandelier With Pendants And Daggers, Early 19th Century.
A large bronze cage chandelier dating from the early 19th century. Its architectural structure draws on Gothic architectural elements, featuring an openwork crown of quatrefoils, arms shaped like pointed arches, and a vertical composition reminiscent of large church chandeliers.
It features nine light arms and is adorned with an elaborate arrangement of pendants, daggers, and cut crystal elements.
The chandelier is in excellent condition. The frame has retained its original gilding, which has aged naturally but still retains a beautiful luster, and the crystal trim is antique and uniform.
