A patinated and gilded bronze sculpture depicting one of the two horses of Marly. This work is inspired by the famous marble statues by Guillaume Coustou, commissioned by King Louis XV for the drinking trough at the Château de Marly and now housed in the Louvre Museum. Our bronze is a beautiful period cast, restored in the early 19th century.
