A rich composition featuring a strange anthropomorphic figure, reminiscent of a faun, moving among fish, a female nude blending into a tree, a sunflower, and dense vegetation. A dreamlike atmosphere where the realms of nature seem to intertwine within a symbolist and neo-pagan universe. The medium, freely applied through a combination of collage, oil pastels, black lines, and colorful highlights, forms a graphic network of great vitality. At the crossroads of Neo-Expressionism and the spirit of the future Figuration Libre movement, this composition emphasizes evocative power, leaving it up to the viewer to construct its meaning. Framed in Geneva in the late 1970s (stamp on the back).
The artwork is in very good condition. Original frame is in good condition. Marie-Louise mat with a slight moisture stain in the lower right corner (replacement available upon request).
