A charming portrait of a young woman against a landscape backdrop, from the early Napoleon III period, dated 1857.
The Salon catalogs indicate that Mlle Léonie Prin exhibited portraits at the Paris Salon at the Royal Museum of Arts (Louvre Museum) from 1836 to 1848, and that she lived at 26 Place Royale.
In very good condition, except for a very slight scratch on the left shoulder. Slight soiling and dust. Antique frame, re-gilded, with minor visible wear.
