A very beautiful print in vivid colors, signed, numbered, and dated, from the series: Ikaruga no Sato (Ikaruga Village in Nara).
Minor marginal foxing; remnants of paper from a previous mounting on the reverse.

Ido Masao used the “Ido Green” technique, emphasizing light and shadow.
In 1961, he studied under Yoshida Koho, a traditional artisan (dye master), and began printmaking in 1972.
In 1973, he was selected by the Japan Print Association and received the Nichido-print Grand Prize and the Sangikai New Talent Award.
In 1983, he participated in the “Kyoto Hyakkei Woodblock Prints Exhibition” alongside Tokuriki Tomikichiro and Clifton Calf.
In 1990, he held the “Ido Masao” exhibition in Chicago and participated in an exhibition organized by the Graz Art Association in Austria.
In 2004, several of his works were acquired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and in 2006, by the Library of Congress in Washington.
