A lovely little drawing depicting the bust of an elderly woman, turned to the left. Beautiful pose, well rendered. The woman has a dreamy expression; she is wearing a bonnet and a shawl crossed over her chest. Gray laid paper, black chalk, and highlights in white gouache. Beautifully executed, very classical style, second half of the 18th century. France.
