An elegant Directoire-style writing desk of Venetian craftsmanship, likely from the Vicenza area and dating to the early 19th century (circa 1800–1815).Crafted from walnut with a fine veneer that highlights the wood’s splendid natural grain, it is distinguished by its understated and balanced lines, typical of the Directoire style, a transitional period between the Louis XVI and Empire styles.The front is adorned with a large drawer, complete with its original bronze locks and handles.
