Market In Abbeville
Artist: Frank Will (frank William Boggs Dit) 1900-1951.
Frank WILL, a painter and watercolorist from the School of Paris, takes us on a tour of Abbeville, in the Somme department, and more specifically, its market. The market is very lively, with its covered stalls. In the foreground, on the right, a covered horse-drawn carriage and a soldier, and on the left, a red parasol, frame the scene. In the background, the towers of the cathedral, surrounded by half-timbered houses and slate roofs, complete this beautiful watercolor, which is signed and dated (lower left).
Beautiful original frame (55x73).
