Large Mirror, Louis XV Style, Gilded Wood, Napoleon III Period.
This beautiful gilded wooden mirror, with a beveled glass panel, is entirely carved with
rocaille motifs, branches, flowers, and 'clasps'.
The bottom features a dynamic, openwork 'cartouche' topped with foliage. The top highlights a shell within a rocaille and openwork border. The sides, highly ornate, are decorated with 'agrafes' set within a floral border and drapery. The 'base' is original.
This mirror from the 1850s–1860s is in very good original condition.
