Box With Marquetry Of Precious Woods And Semi-precious Stones From Karlsbad, Circa 1870

19th-century inlaid tabletop set from the Karlsbad spa resort (Czech Republic).
Crafted from fine materials and precious woods, such as Amboina burl or thuja, with a central medallion framed in brass (featuring a floral design with beige ribbon-patterned stone—Sprudelstein or thermal aragonite—malachite, and white and yellow semi-precious stones). 
Peripheral geometric frieze in ebony, lemonwood, thuja, and mother-of-pearl, with a rounded profile.
Floral spandrels with mother-of-pearl inlay.
Small silver plate on the handle above the keyhole.
Original lock and key in working condition.
Inscribed at the base of the central medallion: Karlsbad.
Exquisite white lacquered interior (embellished with a quilted yellow satin fabric backing). Black lacquer on the locking contact area.
Old label from Kalsbad on the underside of the compartment (somewhat faded).
Minor central crack at the base, not a cause for concern.
