A charming 19th-century table clock in the style of an officer's or travel clock.
Blackened wooden case decorated with rich gilded bronze finials, oak leaf friezes, garlands, spindle legs, and a finely chased removable carrying handle
White enamel with Roman numerals for the hours, protected by a bronze bezel and a domed glass cover. Features two winding holes.
The back door opens to reveal an interior lined with the original red fabric, showcasing the period mechanical movement and its spiral gong for the chime.
Height 26 cm (including handle), Width 14.5 cm, Depth 9.5 cm.
Authentic, original piece with a beautiful antique patina.
Some normal signs of wear due to age are visible on the mechanism. The mechanism is complete with its balance wheel; it has not been tested—a service is recommended. Sold without a key.
