19th-century Sèvres Porcelain Milk Jug
Sèvres porcelain milk jug from the Napoleon III period, 19th century, with a "crowned N" decoration. The jug is made of very white porcelain, and the handle is very elegant in the "neoclassical" Empire style. The red mark on the bottom consists of a crowned "N" and the number 59, indicating 1859, the date of gilding, while the mark S57 refers to 1857, the date of manufacture. Some wear on the gilding is noticeable (at the top of the handle, the spout, and at the bottom of the “N”). The milk jug is in good condition.
