Monumental Double-leaf Door – Late 18th Century
Monumental double-leaf door – Late 18th century (late '700) A splendid pair of antique Piedmontese or Northern Italian doors in original antique green-gray lacquer, dating to the late 18th century.
Crafted with elegant neoclassical molding, they feature a refined, curved, domed tympanum (a low-arched pediment) with a rich and sinuous molded frame, typical of the fine craftsmanship of the era. The double-paned doors are framed by exquisite concave and convex moldings that lend movement and lightness to the surface.
They retain their beautiful original patina in a matte green-gray lacquer, with natural signs of age and wear that enhance their antique charm. They close with the original lock (key included).
