Pair Of Decorative Limoges Porcelain Plates, Art Nouveau Style, Late 19th Century
A refined pair of wall plates in fine Limoges porcelain, featuring a lobed shape and a wavy edge. Each plate displays a hand-painted mythological scene in the center, depicting female figures and cherubs, surrounded by a finely chiseled burnished metal frame. The rim is decorated with shades of blue and small medallions featuring cherubs against a cloudy background.
Perfect as decorative accents for living rooms, boudoirs, or collections of antique ceramics. The Art Nouveau style is recognizable in the sinuous lines and romantic allegorical subjects.
Condition: One plate is in excellent condition. The second has a small chip on the rim, which is minor and easily restorable. This defect does not compromise the overall aesthetic appeal and is already factored into the price.
