Art Deco Robj Paris "japanese Lady" Enameled Porcelain Flower Vase – France, Circa 1930
A charming glazed porcelain flower vase produced by ROBJ Paris, depicting a young Japanese woman wearing a kimono decorated with Asian characters and holding a traditional drum. On the back, three bamboo stalks form three receptacles designed to hold a few flowers or small arrangements.
This creation perfectly illustrates ROBJ’s taste for Orientalist motifs and figurative pieces characteristic of Art Deco from the years 1925–1930. The design is finely hand-painted in soft shades of pink, green, and beige.
The base bears the following hidden mark: “Robj – Paris – Made in France”.
