This delicate portrait represents a young woman in an attitude of gentle introspection. The model is leaning forward, her hands discreetly resting on the support of an oval opening, establishing with the viewer an intimate and almost confidential proximity.

The face, treated with pastel with great finesse, promotes a vaporous aesthetic. The diaphanous complexions, subtly rosy on the cheeks, contrast with the depth of the background that highlights the oval of the face. The slightly lowered gaze and the sketched smile give the whole an expression of restraint and sensitivity.
