19th-century French Bookcase In The Louis-philippe Style With Lead-sealed Doors
French two-door display bookcase from the second half of the 1800s, in the Louis Philippe style, made of mahogany and mahogany veneer. The structure extends vertically from a solid base resting on small square feet, culminating at the top with a prominent, slightly projecting molded cornice in the “gendarme’s cap” style. Its distinctive aesthetic feature lies in the two large front doors, embellished with leaded glass or a decorative geometric latticework forming octagonal and diamond-shaped patterns.
