Antique Louis Philippe Style Bookcase, French Manufacture

Antique Louis Philippe style bookcase, French manufacture, from the second half of the 19th century. Made entirely of walnut, this piece of furniture is made entirely of walnut, including the interior and drawer linings. The glass is original, though small air bubbles can be seen. The locks are of exceptional quality. To move it, it can be dismantled using screw pins; the sides and top can be removed... making it easy to transport.

The piece of furniture was restored in our workshop, stripped and repainted with shellac. The internal shelves, both upper and lower, are height-adjustable; they are not fixed. There is a wooden ladder where the shelf supports can be adjusted.

Whoever built this piece spared no expense in using only walnut, even the doors are very thick.
