Large Empire-style Mahogany Display Bookcase From The Late 19th Century
Large Empire-style mahogany display bookcase from the late 19th century
Impressive mahogany display bookcase with eight doors and a central drawer.
The ornate front is punctuated by four freestanding columns with gilded capitals and bases.
The glass doors feature an elegant geometric leaded-glass design in the style of early 19th-century Empire models.
The central section is adorned with a white marble shelf veined with black, serving as a serving table, topped by two glass-paned doors and flanked by two side display sections.
The piece rests on turned legs and retains its rich original gilded bronze hardware: lock plates, drop handles, and decorative motifs.
The interior is fully fitted with shelves, offering ample storage and display space.
