Medieval pyx body made of Limoges enamel, dating from the 13th century. Pyxides of this type, originally fully enamelled and closed at the base, were topped with a conical lid that is now missing.

The item presented here consists of the body alone. It is characteristic of 13th-century Limoges production due to the quality of its decoration and its typology. Each side is adorned with a centered IHS motif, emblematic of medieval Christian iconography and frequently used in the Limoges workshop.

The object was appraised by the Cabinet Laurence Fligny in Paris, which attested to its authenticity and historical significance.
