Cast brass fittings.
Ovoid pommel topped by a dome serving as a rivet head.
Handle with twenty-six grooves.
Straight crossguard, ring-shaped quillons, hallmarks.
Double-edged blade, carp-tongue shape; triangular flat at the heel, central ridge, hallmarks, marked ‘Talabot Paris’.
Leather scabbard marked ‘GERARD LOUIS A CHÂTELLERAULT’, brass ferrule and tip, hallmarks.
