Still Life With Shells On A Striped Tablecloth, Guy Leclercq, 20th Century
A striking still life depicting a corner of a table covered with a striped tablecloth, enlivened by an arrangement of seasonal fruits and seashells. Signed lower left.
This work evokes a fleeting summer moment, bathed in light and freshness. The vivid and luminous palette lends the whole a joyful and warm atmosphere. The theme of seashells, original and unique in the artist’s work, lends the composition a poetic and Mediterranean touch.
