Small Antique Wardrobe Made Of Solid Walnut, Italy, Mid-19th Century
We are pleased to present this spectacular antique walnut wardrobe, crafted in Italy in the mid-19th century during the Louis-Philippe period.
This wardrobe is extremely rare due to its compact size. Devoid of excessive ornamentation, it stands out for its simplicity and clean lines. The two central doors are paneled, featuring symmetrical and mirror-image vertical grain patterns that highlight the natural beauty of the wood. A distinctive feature are the two large decorative side columns, entirely turned with knotwork, sphere, and scroll motifs. The upper section is topped by a linear, molded cornice, embellished just below with a delicate decoration of carved spheres. The base rests on turned onion-shaped feet, typical of the 19th century.
The wood features a splendid warm medium-dark brown hue which, combined with its linear design, makes it easily adaptable to both classic period interiors and modern settings where a distinctive element is desired.
Functionally, the interior features three solid shelves. The interior can be modified to suit your needs. We can make the modification for you, but please let us know before placing your order. The cabinet is in excellent condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with its age, but please note that this is an antique cabinet in excellent condition! Ready to become part of your home. A small but elegant cabinet that can be placed in the living room, entryway, or bedroom. Wherever you decide to place it, it will become the focal point of the room.
