Jean LEGROS (1917-1981) "La grue de Beaubourg, 1978" Mixed media on canvas, signed lower left, dated 78, dimensions: 125 x 83 cm. Small stain under the green color and a few scattered freckles (see photos). The canvas was protected by a thin plastic sheet long before our acquisition.
Jean Legros was a geometric abstract painter born on February 19, 1917 in the 6the arrondissement of Paris[1], died on November 7, 1981 in Malakoff (Hauts-de-Seine). He was also a sculptor and creator of stained glass cartons.
