Tattooed Woman 1950. Cuban Modernist School.
Artist: Anonyme
Tattooed woman, ink on colored paper. Avant-garde work linked to cuban modernisme. This work was presented by Claude Aguttes ( lot 121 sale: 17/10/2010 ), as an ink by René Portocarrero ( 1912 - 1985 ), the signature does not correspond, it could rather be by the Cuban painter and sculptor Francisco Antigua ( 1929 - 1983 ), not having the elements and documentation, I present it as by an anónyme author, it comes from the former collection of his Excellency Hector de Ayala, Cuban ambassador to Paris in the 1950s, collector and great promoter of Cuban contemporary art in France.
